Study borderline
I had a gastric study finally. I have had IBS-D since I was a teenager in 2000. Ive managed it for such a long time and everything was pretty predictable. Then last year everything changed.
We ruled out structural changes etc and my GI suggested gastroparesis. I was suprised because I still have chronic diarrhea just added early satiety, new upper stomach pain, bloating etc.
My test was done with ensure and not solid food. Which I again was surprised by. The test came back as borderline high normal. The last image was taken at 4 hours and 21 minutes (they kept running late) and had 9.6% remaining.
Not sure if retesting with food would be better? Or is it close enough not to be an issue.
Do any of you have diarrhea with gastroparesis? Did you ever have a negative study and its really positive?
I have a sibo test still coming up and then GI appt in September.
