The Trojan Horse at Universal Citywalk is being taken down
If anyone wanted to catch a glimpse, this is likely the last day you’ll be able to.

As seen in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix Show “Hollywood Arts.”
Of course we all know the classic “And Introducing X As X” credit, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen “IN & AS” used before. As seen in the poster for “Holy Father,” a presumably DTV film scheduled for this October.
Sure, the quality of these perhaps varies wildly, but still, you love to see it. Bonus Griffin poster appearance in 2025’s The Dinner Plan.
And pretty much to entirely sold out screenings for the full week of shows.
Harry’s Family Restaurant on N San Fernando has been sitting vacant for years now, but suddenly now there’s this sign saying “Burbank Market Coming Soon.” I don’t see this listed on the Burbank Economic Development website, so this sign appears to be the only currently available info. “Burbank Market” is as generic a name as possible, who knows what this’ll actually be, if it even comes to pass. Anyone happen to know anything?
No offense to the post from earlier today, but THIS is a deal. Got an email from Bruxie, a Los Angeles area fast food chain that specializes in chicken and waffles, advertising $30 off a Postmates order, seemingly with no fine print. Sounded too good to be true, but I tested it out and the promo code worked, no strings attached. And not only that, Postmates ALSO had some BOGO deals that somehow ALSO worked with the $30 off coupon. So I ordered just over $50 worth of food (2 orders of 3 tenders and fries, plus a banana Nutella waffle) and only had to pay $1.43, since I picked up the order myself and didn’t have to pay any delivery fees. Easily one of the best food deals I’ve ever experienced, and I attached a picture of the checkout page as proof.
Bruxie tenders are among the best I’ve ever had, but I rarely go because it’s so expensive, so this was a real nice treat. Fast food deals have been increasingly worse for years now, but every once in awhile a unicorn like this still shows up and so I just felt compelled to share, in case any others in Los Angeles want to take advantage. During checkout, the $30 promo code indicated that it would not expire until the end of August, but considering how much of a steal this was, who knows if that will remain true.
This had seemed to be delayed a few times over the past month or so, but the Downtown Burbank Cultural Market is back starting tonight, now located on the corner of Third and Orange Grove, behind City Hall and across the street from the Police/Fire HQ, with operating hours listed as Friday/Saturday 5:00-10:00, and Sunday 4:00-9:00. I saw some questions about what was going on with them recently, and these signs just popped up downtown and hadn’t seen anything posted here yet, so figured I’d share.
I don't believe this movie has ever been available to stream whatsoever, so this feels fairly notable. And although upcoming miniseries subject Andrew Stanton doesn't appear to have been involved with it directly, it's certainly adjacent enough to early Pixar that it feels at least partially relevant.
