Ok, so I have been writing this song for almost a month now and I am worried I sound very corny so I would appreciate like you’re opinions or like tips I could use to make it sound less corny if it is:

I shoulda seen this coming

From a mile away

Everybodys always got

something stupid to say

But you was just not mean

Never askin´for my green

How special what we had

Used to be

But it never really seemed to me

Like you would ever see

The true value of what I do

Going out with you

Made my life so pure

Like a fruit

That just won’t rot

So, I went through a lot

Accepting behaviors that diminished me

Things that gave me insecurity

At the end of the day all I could say is

Damn

I hate being right

But Oh well

Having you in my life was enough to make me smile

And I truly hope he makes you happy

You deserve every ounce of it

After what I put you through

Me always being the victim is simply not true

You’re too pretty

I’m too insecure

How could you love

If I wasn’t sure

Always running to fix things

Not realizing what you needed

Was a safe space

Realized too late

Everything I did was too much

Thought I was mac

Getting away with being too sexual

Not seeing it made you uncomfortable

Yeah, I fucked up

This doesn’t mean you were perfect

Communication never really clicked

Lack of attention from you’re part

And love for that matter

But whatever

I don’t hate you

Cause if you’re feelings weren’t true

I think it’s for the best

And so I went through a lot
