What do want people to know about the nanny world? I’ll get straight to it. I am a former nanny and scholar and this year I will be starting a PhD in gender studies where I will research you guessed it Nannying(well nannying, caregiving and domestic work). I did the twelve hour days, the traveling, the overnights. I am not in the research phase yet. I am not going to publish anything without the approval of a board of ethics. However, I am finding it really discouraging to discuss this subject with most people as they tend to identify more with the parents. I took on nannying at 19 to pay for my education. Now I want address some of the particularity of this work from a research standpoint. I was hoping that you would be ever so kind and the express what it is you wish for he general public knew about this kind of work. So far my former nanny community i very encouraging so i wanted to hear from a broader audience. (this is just for me not to be included in any other area)
