Am I right or wrong?
I recently bought a Steam Deck. Labeled as "in fair condition" so was like ok sounds repairable. A fun project.
Listed problems, Screen turns on but no images, no SSD. So i bought it.
However I got a burnt deck. The seller admitted to trying to upgrade it and I think in the process. Burnt the right daughter board. Which he didn't disclose in the listing but to me through eBay listing chat.
So I opened up a return for item not as described. Stating that a burnt daughter board is not fair condition.
He told me that it only applies to the outside case. But has no photos of the inside. So I think he knew it was burnt and wanted to let me deal with it. He won't answer me and I have to wait for eBay to settle this.
I would be right in saying that burnt and melted internals doesn't count as "fair condition" right?
What do you think?
Edit: seems i need to add some context. The seller has tried to upgrade this deck. They admitted that to me. But never disclosed any board damage in their listening or to me.
The back has no screws so they literally could have popped it off and took a photo of the burnt melted part. They did not. They didn't list all issues with this deck had I seen the board myself I would not have bought it
