Billed $90 for 18GB of phantom data. Real usage is 1.3GB.
My cycle just ended, and I was billed the $60 maximum for using 18.16 GB of data. The problem? I didn't use it, and I have the screenshots to prove it.
My Phone's OS Data and App Tracker: Shows exactly 1.31 GB used for the cycle.
Tethering / Data-only SIM: Both show 0 GB.
Never used VPN, factory reset or any out of character usage. Customer since 2016.
Has anyone successfully escalated a massive phantom data discrepancy like this? I am preparing an FCC complaint but wanted to try to check with the community first.
Support did nothing.
