I live in the greater Hartford area of CT, and there's just hundreds of this plant right off of the highway. It seems to have a segmented stalk, like bamboo. I'd also like to know if it is invasive and/or poisonous (not to eat, just in general), because if not I might take a cutting and try to propogate it.

EDIT: Asked and answered! Japanese Knotweed, which is apparently extremely invasive, so I will not be propagating it.
