WIBTA if i block my ex and leave him in the dark?

We met when I was 16, and he (lets call him X) was 18. We have been together for 7 years, "happily" married for 2, 3 years LDR, one kid (M), X cheated 2 times, neither time did he confess. 1st time I was young, stupid and in love, the second time I gave up (I asked for an open marriage). When that didn't sit right with me I asked for a divorce, X did not want that.

I said whatever and stopped communication, answered in short and cold texts but X was always welcome to call and talk with our kid.

X never did that, it was always something, a broken phone, no money(I sent him a min of x2 of his salary monthly), very sick, etc... on Ms 4th birthday X sent him a voice message, like the little dude is gonna pay attention to that...

Anyways, sometime later X agreed for a divorce, and that was the end of any communications.

4 years later life is great, I met an amazing man and a father to my kids (we have a kid together), I hired a lawyer, filed for divorce, we bought a house and 3 months ago the divorce was finalised. The thing is, he did not get the memo. I have no idea what my lawyer has told X when he reached out to him. But yesterday ex messaged me, simply asking how I am and when are we going to be divorced...

I still haven't responded to him... I know he is going to have a HARD time getting any divorce certificate, considering that he lives on a different continent on the other side of the world and knows 0 English. I also know that if X wishes to buy any property he will need my approval for sale. And as far as a year ago he was still with the same girl that was his side piece, and he can't even propose to her....

So, WIBTA if I just block him and leave him in the dark or should I give him the great news and wish him luck in getting the papers???

(as I for sure am not helping him any longer)
