I've noticed that the program has been trying to make me use ly- adverbs a lot lately. Sure, it makes the text shorter, but I'm trying to use the "Show, Don't Tell" approach, which means that kind of adverb is forbidden. I wish there was a way to get Grammarly to understand that, perhaps a button to turn the option on and off for those rare times that I would want to use an -ly adverb. I'm going to be leaving Grammarly behind for a long time to finish up research, but hopefully by then, it will have improved.

News flash, Grammarly. I keep clicking the Retry button, but apparently, it's a "Refresh" button now, because it won't stop giving me the same stupid 'suggestion'. I thought 'suggestion' meant you didn't bully the writer to take it, no matter how many times they told you no? And don't tell me to get the paid version. I had it twice back when it was called Premium, and I cancelled early the second time because the constant 'clarity and conciseness' stuff was making me want to throw up.
