Wishing Grammarly had renewal discount on annual

Use it but at 30/mo don't see it renewing. The $144/yr is fair based on the per month price, but did a renewal a long time ago at like 60/yr and that felt right. Looking for alternates I guess. I know a lot of people are since I cannot justify $30/month for it

Top tier

I’ve been using Grammarly for a while now, and honestly it’s one of those tools you don’t realize you rely on until you turn it off. It catches the little stuff my brain skips over when I’m typing fast, and the tone suggestions are clutch when I’m writing emails that need to sound professional but not robotic. It’s not perfect, but it’s made my writing cleaner and way less stressful. Solid tool.

I have 162 Review Suggestions - how do I accept them all at once?

There's no way I have the time to click through them all. I at least would like to accept all on the 'correctness' tab but can't find a way to do this. Surely I am missing something? Please help!

Can Grammarly update be rolled back or can the features be added back?

Is there any possible way to roll back this Grammarly update for the web version? The new layout has removed literally every feature and app.grammarly is completely unusable for me at this point. I am a long-term Grammarly Pro user and a graduate student completing my first master's degree and beginning a second right both happening right now. I feel like I have enough experience to use this program efficiently. This update seems to have taken a backward effect and all of the prvious options are gone from the new layout. I cannot in good conscience continue paying so much for a product that has lost all of its usefulness and removed all of the tools I have been paying for.

Got refunded 144usd almost immediately

Just a post with no complaints. When I received the email with the receipt, I cancelled my subscription and sent a request ticket immediately. For more context I did use a credit card, not a debit card. IDK if that's a factor why it was faster but they replied pretty quickly, and it got reflected in my bank quickly, too. Thank you so much, Grammarly.

If anyone needs a refund, email them and cancel your subscription right away so that you'll get a full refund, not a partial refund. That's all

Grammarly keeps "fixing" my copy into something that sounds like everyone else — how do you deal with this?

I've been writing copy for 4 years and I have a pretty distinct voice that clients actually hire me for — punchy, direct, a little dry.

The problem is Grammarly keeps softening everything. "Utilize" instead of "use." Passive constructions flagged as errors. Short punchy sentences rewritten into longer "clearer" ones.

I've tried turning off suggestions one by one but it's whack-a-mole. And the tone detector just says "confident" or "formal" with no way to actually teach it anything about how I write.

Worst part is I've caught myself accepting suggestions on autopilot and only noticing later that the copy sounds generic.

Do you just ignore Grammarly for voice entirely and only use it for typos? Or found a workflow that actually works? Genuinely curious how other copywriters handle this.

I finally unsubscribed to grammarly

I'm finally done with grammarly. Before the update, you could just look at the suggestions and decide what to fix. Now there’s this huge AI feature built into everything, and honestly, it makes the whole thing frustrating to use. Sometimes I just want to check a sentence's grammar, but the interface keeps pushing rewrites instead.

Another really annoying problem is that it doesn’t work consistently across websites. It works in Word, for example, but then it won’t show up in Pages at all for me. Sometimes, if you’re writing directly on a website, it just completely disappears and becomes unusable.

I’ve put up with that for a long time because I started using Grammarly back when I was a student, and it genuinely helped a lot, but great heavens, I am done with it. It used to have such considerate customer support. I remember being a broke college student with my card overdrawn, and the customer support even refunded it. Now it's difficult to even find the unsubscribe button. I've always only had such positive things to say about this product, but not anymore. Goodbye Grammarly.

NEW GRAMMARLY AI FEATURES (Bet you don't know them)

I used to think Grammarly was just a grammar checker, but the newer AI features feel more like a full writing workspace now.

A few newer features I’ve actually been using lately:

• Reader Reactions – this one surprised me. You can choose a reader type (manager, client, professor, etc.) and Grammarly predicts how your message may sound to them. I tested it before sending a freelance proposal, and it pointed out parts that sounded too aggressive.

• AI Grader – mainly useful for students. It checks assignments against rubrics/instructions and estimates how strong the submission is before you upload it. Pretty useful for essays and reports.

• Citation Finder – automatically finds and formats sources in APA/MLA style. I tried it while writing a research article and it saved a lot of manual formatting time.

• Paraphraser + AI Rewrite – rewrites paragraphs for clarity, shorter length, or different tone. Helpful when blog intros sound repetitive.

• Docs + AI Chat – Grammarly now has a document workspace where the AI can summarize notes, brainstorm ideas, and proofread inside the same editor.

• Multilingual Rewrites – supports rewriting in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and Italian now.

Sometimes the AI over-edits and changes writing style too much. But compared to old Grammarly, this feels like a massive upgrade.

Question: Besides the grammar checker, which one feature do you like the most?

Refund incident

u/Grammarly I forgot to cancel auto renewal for subscription for 2 months, one on April 7th and another one on May 7th. Didn’t use the service at all during the period. I contact the support but it looks like AI generated and only refund me for one month. Need help for that.
