Hi All, this will be my first Mother‘s Day. Prior to this, we always did a brunch or dinner with my husband‘s mom and dad and then another one with my mom.

Now that we have our own child, it feels like too much to keep doing separate things. Plus, I’d like the day to be special for me too now, especially since I’m exhausted haha. Both of our moms still want their own thing but have not protested the idea of combining. We wanted to try to do a combined brunch but it’s looking like that won’t work with everyone’s schedules.

My husband is great and wants to make that weekend special for me so he’s very supportive of whatever I want. We both agree that we can’t maintain separate celebrations for everyone though.

How does everyone else do it?

Hey Moms of Reddit,

I’m curious if anyone has had luck increasing their supply when it seemed to be hormonally driven?

I‘m 6 months PP. I got my period back within a few weeks of giving birth and it has been like clockwork every month, despite exclusively breastfeeding/pumping.

I consistently get about 3 oz every 2 hours, but around my period it drops to 1.5-2 oz. Little one needs at least 4 oz every 2.5 hours during the day so we have to supplement with formula. When I was exclusively breastfeeding, she was losing weight and they weighed her before and after feeds to see how the milk transfer was so I know it’s a true supply issue and not just the pump.

I tried Fenugreek gummies and those helped a little for about 2 days but then my supply went back to the usual. I’ve done a little power pumping but didn’t notice any major differences. I also take calcium and magnesium supplements a few days before my period to help lessen the supply dip and that keeps it from being too drastic.

This wouldn’t be such a big deal but she is allergic to dairy and HATES the taste of the dairy free formula, it literally makes her gag and cry if it’s any less than 2oz of breastmilk to 2 oz of formula in the bottle and I hate that for her.

Anyone been in a similar situation and had success?
