Hi, my name is Lorenzo. I’m 25 years old, and I started this fundraiser to ask for help with my difficult situation and my health condition.
I suffer from keratoconus, an eye disease that affects my vision. I already had surgery on my left eye, which is currently at stage 3 out of 4, and thankfully recent check-ups show that the disease does not seem to be getting worse at the moment.
Now I need special custom-made contact lenses. The Italian healthcare system covers part of the total cost of €1,688, but I still have to pay the eye specialist who makes them specifically for me and follows my treatment. Out of the €400 I needed to pay for this, I have already paid €200 myself, but I still need help to complete it.
I had previously posted about my situation without showing any documentation, but here I am now sharing it more clearly with the necessary details.
Unfortunately, because of my vision problems, I am currently unable to drive until I receive these lenses, which I may not have for another two or three months. Living like this makes it very difficult to move around independently and to find stable work. I also suffer from flat pronated feet, which makes physically demanding jobs even harder for me.
For this reason, I am asking for help to continue my financial studies, afford private lessons, pay for these lenses, and manage some large fines that I received during this difficult period.
