Would moving to the Bay Area be a good idea?

I’ve been trying to look for jobs in either California or New England because I’d at least know people/family there but no longer certain if either of those places would be beneficial to me

I’ve had so many instances where I’ve had to reintroduce myself numerous times to individuals while I’ve had friends who’ve been immediately recognized even if they haven’t talked to the individual who recognized them. I will say I’m more on the quiet side for first impressions, but I usually dress a little bit extra to try to help with that (added accessories/layers).
