How do I subtly educate ignorant grandfather without challenging his world view entirely so that he doesn’t get defensive?
My grandfather is a german immigrant, and he came to the USA during a specifically rough time. Today he’s a very entitled rich man with his wife. He’s somewhat racist and super ignorant when it comes to certain topics. I want to subtly show him my point of view, and possibly change his own, but he doesn’t like to accept opinions and facts that don’t align with his own, even if he’s wrong. I’m personally very passionate about human rights and equality around the world. He disagrees with me on that topic. If anyone has advice it’d be greatly appreciated!
