AIO “Traditional” Bridesmaid x Groomsmen slow dance
My boyfriend (m23), and I (f23), are attending a wedding in July. The wedding is for a college acquaintance of his, and he happens to be a groomsmen. Both of us were surprised by this as him and the groom are not particularly close. All of that aside we haven’t received much info about the wedding overall, other than the fact that there is supposedly a “traditional” bridesmaids x groomsmen slow dance. I personally have not heard of this tradition, was wondering how common something of this nature is? Each bridesmaid is paired with a groomsmen for a slow dance. To me, this seems odd, but maybe I’m just unaware. I don’t know the bridesmaids, but most of the groomsmen have partners and or wives. The bride also made an odd comment - stating she’s pairing people up based on their “chemistry.” Seems a bit odd to me, as why would chemistry matter in the first place if most of the groomsmen are in relationships. Haven’t said anything, and won’t - just wondering what the general consensus is!
