Hello,

I am a 18m whose family has a Doberman. Keep in mind it’s not my dog, I don’t choose how they take care of it and what they choose to do. But she’s coming on 2 years now and is still crated at night and at home alone. Is this normal? I don’t see any other people who I know doing this, it just seems odd and kind of annoying because it feels less like having a pet. I’m not sure how else to explain it other than it doesn’t feel normal. I don’t see any discomfort from her in fact I think she likes the crate at night, but it would be nice to let her roam around like any other pet.

What should I do if anything?
