My grandfather's glasses

My grandfather recently passed away, and my family went through his stuff without me. Only thing I have of him left are his glasses, the last thing he wore. I was wondering if I could swap out his lenses for mine, and I think it'd be cool to wear his frames. But, ny lenses are thick and a bit wider so they won't fit. Does anyone know a work around for this?

A small hit of reality to me

I heard friend say that she hated how MJ couldn't remember and that it upset her when MJ said she didn't love Peter back after reading the letter. I was telling her it's not that simple. And it brought me to a conclusion that I realize breaks my heart even more. This is how I interpret it all: When Jean takes over MJ's mind, she already pokes a hole in the idea of true love's kiss. Love transcending everything. In Peter's world, a world of monsters, mutants, aliens, and wizards, True love's kiss doesn't break the spell, and MJ saying "I don't love you" hurts. We see that small glimmer of hope that Peter has before MJ says it, and his heart shattering afterwards. All those pop culture movies he's seen, where love conquers all, where love finds a way, doesn't exist here. Doesn't exist for him, and he has to live with that. And we can see that MJ sits alone on the roof, and wants to love him back, but it's not there. MJ's body language wants to love him back even though she doesn't, and Ned's body remembers the handshake, but neither will remember how much he meant to them. The spell did it's job, and it's devestating. They're friends again by the end, but it's not going to be the same as it was. Who knows? Maybe this bond their second time around is a lot stronger

I'm considering a career change

I've been working a trade for almost 4 years now. The pay is pretty good, but I'm sort of burnt out. Welding was not something that I even considered until a friend told me about it. I do it for the money, but I don't think I can do this job anymore. It's taken a lot out of me. My uncle gave me some advice and told me, "it's never too late to pursue your passion. I can help if you need me to" and I've been thinking about it for weeks. It won't be immediate, maybe another 3 years, and I'll probably tap out. I want to go back to school, I just don't know what for yet. I have a passion for writing, but I've been pretty rusty since I put that to the side. I'm pretty tech savvy and know my way around a computer, so I was thinking maybe something computer related. I don't know for sure what to do. But I do know that welding isn't something I want to do for the rest of my life. Any advice would be much appreciated

How does inflation work?

Forgive me, I know next to nothing about economics I have the brain the size of a pea. I just had a nagging question I wanted to ask. Why would it be so bad if prices for stuff started lowering? Everyone would be able to afford resources, and have money on the side to do what they want like buying their dream house or something. Is it because goods and services would have to increase due to high demand? That doesn't seem right to me. I doubt millions of people would start buying up I don't know. Pineapple pizzas and places would have to increase the price of pineapple pizzas, you know? Not everyone wants pineapple pizza. What I'm trying to say is, everyone has different needs and wants. Would demand for certain goods and resources really increase because of it? The US wastes food and resources all the time, wouldn't lower prices just reduce how much we waste? We have an abundance of grocery stores stocked full of food, and it all gets thrown out eventually.

Again, I'm really dumb. I know it's a dumb question, but I just wanna know. Can anyone explain inflation to me like I'm a 5 year old?
