Is this a good renovation plan for southern Iowa?

My plan is to have a primarily TTTF lawn in the next couple years without killing off the current grasses, with most of that TTTF being established next spring. I have a hodgepodge yard mix of KBG, poa annua, rye and fescue with a couple rivers of creeping Charlie and white clover mixed throughout. So, here’s where I’ve started and the current course of action:

Late this spring I sprayed mec amine d/mso for a couple weeks and that killed, I’d say, half the creeping Charlie and only gave the clover a headache. Temps are getting warmer, so I’ve stopped the amine d and will put down a couple apps of 16-4-8 before temps get into the 80’s, with a few light apps of 16-4-8 through the summer. I have a couple low spots from removed trees that I’ve filled with dirt and I’ll spray some prodiamine on those today.

This fall I’m gonna dethatch and aerate to holy hell. I’m talking nuculear level aeration. Then a heavy TTTF broadcast and maybe a dirt/sand topdress. Water, water, water and a starter fertilizer, and pray the winter isn’t too rough. Next spring I’ll start back on the 16-4-8 and tzone to take the nuclear option on the remaining creeping Charlie and broadleaf incursion.

Does anyone see any holes in this plan? Or anything else I should do to attain this goal? I’m also not 100% set on TTTF. I wouldn’t mind a full KBG lawn, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to give a KBG lawn the attention it needs throughout the year. Thanks.
