[Proud Dad. Bought His First Milestone Watch. US Navy Aircrew]
I wanted to share a proud moment with people who I know will appreciate the meaning behind it.
I recently bought this Longines Spirit 40mm for my son, who serves in the United States Navy and, God willing, will soon be flying the CMV-22 Osprey.
As a lifelong watch enthusiast, this was a special purchase for me. I wanted to give him something meaningful, not simply a nice watch, but one with a genuine connection to aviation and a history of precision, exploration, and pioneering flight.
After doing quite a bit of research, the Longines Spirit just felt right. Hopefully, it will accompany him throughout his aviation career and collect a few stories of its own along the way.
I was not quite sure who else would appreciate what this means to a watch-loving father, so I thought I would share it here.
Thank you for letting me share a very proud father moment.
