Possibly forced to transfer mid freshman year?
For context im starting my first year at a CC in houston (where i live atm) for the Fall 2026 semester and want to major in Japanese for my job, im taking JAPN 1411 but i found out the only instructor for the language is changing from my CC to the university of houston and this next semester is her last. So i'd have to go the next semester not taking JAPN 1412
UH doesn't have a Major in Japanese so I planned to move out and transfer to UNT for my Sophomore year but now im not sure if i would have to transfer to UNT spring 2027 and not sure if i'd even be able to
I would reach the 16 credit minimum needed by the end of the fall semester so I wont need to send test scores and high school gpa (which were awful and wouldn't get me in)
If i apply to transfer for the Spring 2027 semester before i get the credits needed would i still be eligible to be picked and would I do it through apply texas or common?
Also how would I go about housing? i def want to do off-campus and don't mind driving around an hour to get to campus
