8000 BTU Window AC Recommendations non-U shaped inverter.
I've been doing some research for an 8000 BTU Window AC and have found a few models but wanted a sanity check to make sure I didn't miss anything or if there's any other similar model recommendations from others that have had a similar setup.
In short I can't use Midea U Shaped or GE Profile due to being a rental, exterior vinyl siding, and a roof beneath my windows (I ordered a Midea U shaped previously and the bracket couldn't work). The unit will be installed in a vinyl double hung window with a vinyl lip on the bottom ledge.
Looking at the manuals it seems the two options below are "friction fit" in that they don't need any exterior brackets and use accordion slide outs to lock in place with the window and just a few support pieces to secure the windows to prevent accidental opening.
I had looked at some others like Windmill & LG but the Windmill seems to be too App driven and the LG is significantly heavier as it seems to use the same chassis/components as its larger BTU units.
