Is there a designated finger you use for each hole? Is there any useful skill I can learn on it that will help me on my main instrument? Is there a specific amount of mouthpiece or embochure I need to use? Is there a way to make a nine dollar recorder sound decent? Am I overthinking this?

I don’t know if this is my autism or anxiety, but I can’t seem to talk at a level where people can hear me without them having to say ‘What?’ five times. I’ll think I’m talking at a normal volume just for others to tell me they can’t hear me. I’m really trying to be louder, I promise. I feel like I’m yelling if I speak any louder. Does anyone else experience this? Am I doomed to be soft-spoken forever?
