DIY Radon System Installation

So, Ive done some digging into this already and was just hoping for some confirmation. I'm currently installing my own Radon Mitigation System. The house is older and without drain tile. Beneath the slab in the basement is packed dirt/clay. Based on my square footage of the basement, Ive opted for the RadonAway GX4 fan. Because of the lack of drain tile, I'll have to dig a void underneath the slap so that the system will actually work. Based on the research I have done, the void has to be about 4-5 5-gallon pails of dirt removed.

My question is, with this void, is there any drawbacks to filling it in with river rock? I'm nervous of having that big of a void underneath and pretty close to the foundation footers. With the river rock, in my mind, it would still allow for airflow while giving some support for the concrete slab as well as the foundation footers. Unless I am just being paranoid about it?

Potential asbestos in flooring?

Home was built in 1965 and i bought from some house flippers back in 2020. About 3/4 of the way through a basement renovation and ripped up the carpet that was here to reveal this big sheet of linoleum flooring. The other sections of the floor did not have linoleum, and were just carpet plus a foam pad, but i noticed it also has this thin paper-like layer under the foam as well. Ive spent the last 3 days stirring up the area. How screwed am I?

How's My Sandrone?

I could probably go with a better Sands. I am planning to go C0R1. This should be a good start right?

Perhaps I Was a Little Too Harsh

I've been going through on my alt account, completing Archon Quests, to get it caught up on the main story and have just completed the Natlan Archon Quest after hearing it was now fully voiced. Back when Natlan first released, I wasn't a really big fan of it. I completed each Archon Quest chapter as they came out day 1 so I wouldn't get spoiled on anything and as a result, there were chapters that seemed rushed, or ones that stretched out too long, and don't even get me started on the voiceover. So many great moments and lines ruined by silence.

This time around, I took my time. I completed all the character stories and the Chosen of Dragons questline (also an absolute banger). I then went through the Archon quest from start to finish and let me tell you, it was a completely different experience than what I had before. The story was actually really well paced when played from acts 1-5 with no month long delay in between.

My biggest criticism at the time was that the story was too much of a "Power of Friendship" kind of story, and while that is still true to a certain extent, I now realize that it was way more nuanced than that. After a second playthrough, I think my opinion on it has now changed to it being more so a story about sacrifice. All along the way, the countless sacrifices the characters had to make, and >!all the dead fighting alongside us,!< made that final chapter hit that much harder. Also, the first time I played through it, I hadn't done the world quests yet, so going through the night kingdom, I didn't find to be all that special. Boy was I wrong the second time around.

If you haven't done that archon quest yet or have an alt account that you haven't done it on yet, I would definitely recommend giving it another chance. Just make sure you complete the world quests first. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Easily the hardest one to date.

Even Duel in the Mists wasn't as hard as this one. So many areas that it was easy to mess up too. This had no business being as hard as it was.

Also, sorry about the hand cam, I was using it to study where I was going wrong.

First off, I am not a very dexterous person. My brain knows what it wants to do, but my hands don't always obey it. Ever since they released the music mode, I took it as a personal challenge to 100% it on Legendary with none of the assistive features, to do it just as Hoyo intended. It was surprisingly fun. Easily my favorite rhythm game implemented in a game.

It was a long journey with many, many failures, but today I just finished the last song they offer. I don't have anyone IRL that I can share it with, so I am sharing it here.

If anyone was wondering, the top 10 hardest ones in my opinion:

  1. Duel in the Mist (Inazuma)
  2. Blazing Heart (Mavuika)
  3. Rondeau des fleurs et des rapiers (Fontaine)
  4. Lamentation et Triomphe (Fontaine)
  5. Borrowing Winds of Harmony (Xianyun)
  6. Polumina Omina (Sumeru)
  7. Chasing the Rainbow (Natlan)
  8. Tumaini washa moto (Natlan)
  9. Makani 'olu'olu (Natlan)
  10. To light the Aeon Dark (Nod Krai)

I'm looking forward to more added in the future!
