2007 honda civic VTI
hey, just wondering if anyone can help me find the leak in power steering system, when i got the car i knoticed the steering wheel would jerk back while turning. like pulse back when turning corners (very odd) then when i got a roadworthy certificate for it the mechanic said i needed a new power steering pump so i went and replaced that (pain in the ass) it kinda stopped for a bit then i knoticed a small leak of fluid, then over time it got VERY bad and would leak like 500ml a day so i checked the o rings on the return lines and sure enough they were cooked (pic shown) this was like 3 weeks ago and the major leak stopped but now ive knoticed its leaking again, went about 2 weeks then started to randomly hear the dreaded sound of it being low on fluid (if u know u know) so i filled it up then tonight (i was being a dumbass) i was drifting around a roundabout only once and i heard the sound of it being extremely low on fluid… so idk if it only leaks when im full lock or not but i cannot for the life of me find the leak (if you’ve ever seen down the side of a engine on a 2007 honda civic vti you know what im talking about… im tempted to take it to a mechanic and let them deal with it but then again i feel it’ll be expensive asf since i was quoted 1k to replaced steering pump (did it for 140 myself)… anyway if somone has any idea of what and where the leak could be please help (i also took out the reservoir and checked it for cracks and the top end of the hoses)
