44 years old; time to invest

Hi all,

My dad started a schwab account for me a long time ago, time to put it to some use:

From when my dad made it I have

Roth IRA:

VLY - 158 shares

GAB- 1287 shares

BARAX - 225 shares

BSCFX - 830 shares

Individual:

GAB - 917 shares

I just added:

Roth IRA:

QQQM - 32 shares

SWYHX - 327 shares

Individual:

QQQI - 30 shares (seems fun?)

I have around 87k left to invest (I moved 95k from a high yield savings account) and threw it in SWYHX to max out the Roth IRA.

My PERA is around 115k right now.

My pension when I retire in 7.5 years should be around 88k (75% of salary)

High Yield Account - 25k

22K in my regular bank savings account

I asked AI what to do just for funsies (based off 100k) and they recommended:

ETF Allocation Amount
VOO 40% $40,000
SCHD 25% $25,000
SCHG 20% $20,000
VXUS 10% $10,000
SGOV 5% $5,000

Is that a good plan or any suggestions for anything else?

My wife will be starting her nursing job too and finished school, so back to work for her. We also have 2 kids (8 and 13).

44 years old; 100k in HYSA, 30K in regular savings, 70K in a Schwab account; what to do?

Hi all,

So as stated from above I have:

100K in a high yield savings account (around $310 a month from it)

30K in my regular bank savings account

70K in a schwab account that my dad set up a long time ago. It has GAB, VLY, BARAX, BSCFX. Not really married to any of those.

I would like to go into dividends for income and growth. A nice vacation seems nice to have. My wife will be starting her nurse job soon too; so yay for second income.

My main question is what should I do with the 100K in my high yield account, and are any of those stocks worth keeping?

I get to retire in around 7.5 years too through the state and will have 75% of my salary for retirement (around 88k a year).
