TLDR: Should we go with the American Leather Comfort Sleeper or the American Leather Today Sleeper?

Background: We are trying to pick a sleeper sofa for our guest room, most of the time we will be using it as a sofa but both our parents live a ways away so when they do stay they will be using the bed for long periods (see it needs to be comfy as a bed too)

I think we've landed on American Leather but we are looking for help choosing between the Comfort and the Today

Has anyone slept on both? And is there a clear winner?

Also with the Comfort does anyone have strong opinions about the standard matress vs the Cooling Gel option?

Any help would be much appreciated!
