Want a new fork: 1 1/4 inch steerer tube confuses me, and I´d rather ask for some help?
So this bike was bought with this fork fitted. Rs mag21, 1 1/8 threaded steerer tube. It was fitted into the original steerer tube which is larger.... Its solidly made, but a bit crude? Running a standard stem on a cut down thick quil stem (same thickness as a regular steerer) in pic.
Any how, so every thing is 1 1/4 threaded headset. Will one find a replacement headset that allows for 1 1 / 8 straight steerer? Or how would you go about restomodding this bike?
Take out everything, measure with calipers and look it up? Or does one need strange adapters
