Making a pixel art UI for a software synthesiser, can't decide if I prefer the flat or textured version.

Also, general tips much appreciated; this is the first pixel art I've ever done, and first thing I've ever really tried to draw and make look good practically ever. I learnt a lot about Pixquare today.
