I used shampoo and conditioner this morning but it still looks frizzy and weird

I'm getting a haircut tomorrow and I don't know what to ask for. This is the haircut I have had for a few years and people have made fun of me for it at school but I don't know what would look better. Currently just using cheap salt spray and hair clay from my local drug store to try and add texture but it doesn't really work. Any advice would be great :)
