Pool finally complete! AND outdoor kitchen almost done

Salt pool just got pebbled and filled over the weekend. They came and are putting chlorine, cleaning it and teaching us today and tomorrow. Then weekly checks and chemicals.

Pool builder is going to fix the remaining small issues before we sign off. The sprinklers are being installed this week, then grass.

Outdoor kitchen—Blaze LTE+ 40 inch grill, functional sink, stone all around, Bahamas White polished granite with a 10inch overhang.

We live in Tampa Bay and have 2 kids under 7 who are eager to jump in later in the week.

Thx for the feedback and help throughout this process.

Tiling complete—what do yuall think?

Tile is complete. 2x3inch glass tile. We asked for an extra row so that the spillway can have two rows of tile and not one. One tile row would match the stairs and we didn’t like that. We wanted the spillway and sheer decent to be a feature.

Antique White laticrete grout, glass tile/pool thin set. Grey pavers and ice marble coping with white grout. I believe cleaning and aqua cool mini pebble is next.

Pool is being built/pavers just got added

Second post ever. Thx for all the feedback :)

The pool is close to being built in Tampa Bay Florida. It’s 18x24 with a sheer decent, 2 deck jets, 6x6 spa with 4 jets with blower, 116k heater/chiller. Jandy 2.7 hp VS pump, 200sf cartridge filter, salt pool, 3 lights (1 under sheer decent, 1 near stairs, 1 in spa), aqua cool mini pebble, ice leather marble coping, grey pavers around.

Pool still needs last finishes like tiling on stairs and grout. We ensured they used the correct thinset for glass tile/pool, and the latricrete grout.

Sun shelf if 7.8 feet long, 6 feet out with bubble and umbrella holder, about 6 inches deep at waterline. Could go higher when not using the spa a lot to get more water…to like 9 inches.

We wanted the spa to be a feature and not get lost. We put an 8 inch waterline tile to have more tiles covering the pool and the spillway.

One thing I have been wresting with (too late now) is that the waterline—it’s like 1/2 inch above the spa spillway. The pool company said it’s like that and I have googled and seen other pools like this… but I kinda wanted a little separation, meaning having the spillway about 1/2 ABOVE the water. But I’ve read that it might cause an issue with pool cleaning and circulation. But other than that. We’re excited. I have 2 kids under 7 and they are excited.

Any tips and advice from here on out would be helpful. I have been looking at furniture, we’re adding an aluminum cover near the lanai, and I’ve seen pool loungers and chairs Also a slide for kids So I’ve seen those.

I sent these images before for some advice on layout and I appreciated all the comments.

Im asking for some backyard design advice/pool gadgets and necessities. I only have a small area near the window for seating or grill and behind the pool is a 10ft easement.

I do kinda want to place some pavers or a little raised garden about 1 ft from the fence running the whole length of the property to put those semi tall privacy plants that look nice and some rock. To give it a little height for aesthetics.

Another idea was to put footers and some posts to hang those triangle sun shade from the posts out there behind the pool towards the house

The pool is 18x24. Any idea on what yuall did to showcase your pool would be greatly appreciated. Also what loungers/umbrella etc things I need to buy for a new pool. We should break ground in about a week to 10 days.
