Little check in on Nikko!

Little bubby is still desperate for scratches even in her state. Sweet girl. Her Pelvic surgery and possible amputation is this weekend if her anemia levels keep rising in the same trend!
Please if you can we need all the support we can. She is owned by no one however my neighbours and I are doing everything we can to give her a second chance at life! Unfortunately it comes at a cost. We’ve never had to help at this level before so all help is greatly appreciated! 🤍🤍🤍

Fund Raising - Shattered Pelvis :( Orthopaedic Surgery help

I’m reaching out to ask for help for one of our community stray cats, Nikko.

When I moved into my community in Dubai, I became involved with a small group of neighbours who care for the local stray cats. Many of these cats were abandoned or displaced, and the community members privately fund their feeding, vet work, vaccinations, desexing and emergency care to keep them healthy and safe.

2 weeks ago, one of the young kittens we care for, Nikko, was hit by a car and suffered a shattered pelvis. Since then she has been under specialist veterinary care. Her case has become more complicated than we first hoped. Alongside severe pelvic fractures, the vets are now concerned about possible nerve damage in one leg, meaning she may ultimately require an amputation depending on what they find during surgery.

She has also been battling significant anaemia, which has delayed surgery while the vets work to stabilise her safely enough for anaesthesia.

Despite everything, she remains bright and affectionate, and the vets feel that because she is still so young she has a good chance at adapting well long term, even in a worst-case scenario.

The costs are continuing to grow as her treatment plan evolves, and we are trying to give her the best possible chance at a safe, pain-free life off the streets.

If anybody is able to donate, share her story, or help us reach more people, we would be incredibly grateful.
