This man’s old school strategy has not worked in any of the franchises in the last 3 years.
During today’s mid game interview, he admitted than they wanted Rutu to anchor the innings even though it’s old school. When the comms said what’s the desired total he shamelessly said 175. There was a moment of silence once he said that. Even the comms were shocked at his answer. So clearly it’s him that’s giving players the designated target. No point in blaming Rutu or the players when the coach’s strategy hasn’t updated since 2015.
