We currently have 10 overseas players in the squad.

The original 8 players plus the 2 replacement players (Spencer Johnson and D Forester). This means we need to release a minimum of two players before the auction.

That bit should be easy. The two Kiwis (Matt Henry and Zak Foulkes) now that Fleming is not our coach will likely be prime candidates to be released.

Spencer Johnson has been really good since the IPL. Had a very good series against India A as well. So keep him as backup for Nathan Ellis.

Dean Forester could be the break through star of SA20 this season and we got him for cheap. So shouldn't release him either.

Jamie Overton, Dewald Brevis , Noor Ahmed , Nathan Ellis and Akeal Hosein should and will definitely be retained.

So that leaves us with Matt Short. I would prefer if we release Matt Short and look for a player who can play spin . May be someone like Shai Hope .
