I think this is the only sensible trade option for Hardik Pandya. Kasi bro has been our grim reaper at the auction table and Rutu is finished as a player being unable to score runs in even in test cricket. Both of these guys are responsible for CSK's downfall in recent times. Think this is the only feasible trade option from CSK's end for Hardik.

like bro in this IPL he had a decent number of opportunities in both the srh games, the first gt game, the mumbai game, the rcb game, and the rr game where he came to bat in or before the 12th over.

that’s 6 opportunities where he came in not as a finisher and he didn’t perform.

and not only that he also plays the finisher role for india all the time and has been ultra consistent since the asia cup. i don’t understand why he doesn’t replicate that for CSK. maybe it is role clarity? somebody needs to fix his role as either a finisher or a number 4 and maybe that will be it.

It seems CSK is keen to secure Hardik according to the news in NDTV. My opinion even if we onboard him we may release one of the key player before the next auction. Is this effort really required when we have only one year left for mega auction.

Akeal performed better this year than the rest

Akeal is a better batsmen than Ellis, Noor

Noor, Brevis are better fielders and younger

Brevis is a great fielder in average batting form. can recover next season

Ellis injured this season. Was in bench last season

Things I hate see happening to Akheal
In IPL:
Didn't play next match after taking 4 wickets
Didn't get to complete his quota of overs vs SRH after being the best bowler
Prasanth Veer not willing to give him strike when he can't hit the ball in SRH match

Not even consistently in TSK with 6 slots. Comes in and almost defends 6 runs in last over with hattrick.

Let’s be honest everyone knows Urvil is not consistent. But I see some people saying we should swap Rutu with Urvil. R u fcking kidding me!!!!! The better choice would be to open with Sanju Ayush and push Rutu 1 spot down. The no.3 spot is super crucial. See every other team which were decently successful : DDP, Ishan, Jurel, Nitish Rana, Raghuvanshi. All these players were decently consistent. Thats the role of no 3. If a wicket falls quickly u have to anchor and if ur teammate is firing at the other end then u have to keep up with that. Rutu is the perfect person for that. Ryt now he doesn’t know whether to anchor or fire. No decent team will have Urvil in their starting XI. As a backup maybe he’s fine

Wish they continued this template. Players like Mitchell Owen, Tim Seifert Glenn Phillips (he has opened 3+ times in CPL and was successful) who are warming benches could have been additions to continue this legacy. Now it looks tough as we have all Indian top 4.

With his retirement from international cricket I guess he will now be available...question is there anyone better? Not sure if anyone is following the MLC, but Mulder seems to be a promising talent for the finisher roles, can bowl and quite honestly is only 28 years old. Young, big hitter. Yesterday he was not hitting the local talent bowlers but rather the likes of Jansen and Lockie Ferguson. That said what is everyone else's thoughts here. Wian Mulder is not part of any IPL teams.
