By refusing to admit wrongdoing, like Armstrong, Manchester City are hurting themselves more than they realise.

All the rumours point to that. And it most likely will be Hemang Badani.

Badani and Dhoni know each other from their India A days. Have been good friends since then. That's why I think he will likely be the head coach.

I also think Ruturaj Gaikwad will be asked to step down as captain and concentrate on his batting. Plenty of reports indicating the same in recent times as well. Apparently CSK management feels Gaikwad batting suffers too much under captaincy pressure and so want him to concentrate on his batting.

Expect Hardik Pandya to be named captain if and when he joins CSK. Considering how close he is with Dhoni expect the deal to happen and then Dhoni to guide him like Nehra did at GT.

These are just speculation and gut feeling on my part.

When CCA stepped down and BCCI took power again, one of the first things they did was constuttie a Cricket Administrative committee to oversee cricketing affairs. They appointed Sachin Dravid and Ganguly to the CAC. They played a major role in appointing coach and selectors .

But then Ganguly went into administration and Dravid became coach and sachin also left. Since then they appointed Ashok Malhotra and Jatin Paranjape, two nobodies(Harsh but truth) . This basically meant they have become rubber stamps for whatever cricketing decisions BCCI head made .

Feel this is a major reason for too much power residing with Agarkar and Gambhir.

BCCI needs to bring back legends like Sachin and Dravid back into the fold again. Maybe someone like Kumble or Srinath as well to have bowlers perspective.

They should also be given power to review performances of selectors coaches and captains. This would be a great way forwarding in improving indian cricket.

If you look back at the world cup win in February the problems were plenty visible.But Samson's back to back extraordinary knocks and Bumrah spell against England saved us. Newzealand chokes every final they reach so not a surprise they choked again

Now similar failings are badly exposed again with both bat and ball.

Our bowling outside of Bumrah is mediocre at best. Varun is well past his best and our wrist spinners are really poor whether it's Kuldeep or Bishnoi.

Our middle order is a mess. Tilak is only good if you give him the last 2-3 overs against pace.

Despite Gambhir winning everything in limited overs cricket I still don't belive in him fully (not sure why).

Expecting India to win either 2027 world cup in South Africa or the T20 world cup in australia is a fool's errand at this stage .

I hope I am proven wrong but not that confident about it.

If TSK does well they may think IPL finish was another arbitration and may continue the same way next season as well

Asking teams play 3 back to back knockout games with 48 hour back is so unfair to them. Teams that finish top 2 already have the advantage of Qualofier safety net. So atleast make it somewhat fair to the teams finishing 3rd and 4th by giving them enough time to recuperate before next match.

No wonder so many people make money of rage biting CSK fans on twitter.
