My previous employment finished on Friday 14th August and HR said she informed UKVI visa SMS that i am a leaver and my current sponsorship is cancelled yesterday.

Today new employer was trying to get a new COS for me and he got an error regarding duplicate COS allocation.

My previous HR said there was only one but it was cancelled yesterday and my Evisa still shows active though. She confirmed that there are no other unused COS in the SMS system.

Any suggestions please?

I have got my first SWV in Nov 2023 and have current validity till Dec 2026.

Due to redundancy, my last working day was last Friday, and HR said she will inform UKVI on 1st Sept.

However, luckily by God's grace, I got another job with a sponsorship opportunity.

The new employer has a policy of 2-year visas only but not 3-year visas, due to which I am trying to plan my start date as 1st Oct on COS and end date as 1st Oct 2028 so that if approved, I will get approval till 15th Oct 2028; however, my 5-year eligibility will be on 3rd Nov 2028.

If I apply for ILR on or after 6th Oct 2028 with validity till 15th Oct, am I eligible for ILR? as i will be short of 23 days for my ILR 5 year date.
