About to do something wild
I could stop here… but I won’t. It will either be EPIC or an epic FAIL.

So, I started this guy a few days ago and I’ve decided that I’m going to pour resin in the deep channels. Has anyone combined resin with their burning projects on here before? I’ve been reading up on prep and I have a vision. I’ll either ruin all this hard work or come up with something fantastic. Side note, I’m quite experienced in resin so I’m not worried about that, just about the seepage in porous wood and dripping.
It looks like velvet in the right light. It’s only 8”x8” so it was a lot of fun.
This little cephalopod is coming along quite nicely. Too many appendages to be an octopus.
For those who know… I did a surprise tribute piece and… got the date wrong! Luckily I realized before I gifted. I had to grind out the error and it left a huge indent. I learned there are BURNABLE wood fillers! I just had to buzz the right color with alcohol ink which was tough since it dries lighter. Before and after. No pics of the ugly crater because I was about to cry when I did it.
If you don’t have a fantic router/sander I HIGHLY recommend one. It’s like having an eraser/highlighter.
