Unique study/work situation

Good morning/afternoon team,

I currently work full time in defence and looking at transitioning out within the next couple of years. I have always wanted to be a paramedic, however, looking at the universities and the courses, it doesn’t look like they offer online and are all held during the week. I have tried contacting the unis to no avail with help wrt the situation. Has anyone had any experiences similar to this that have made it work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Studying Paramed

Good afternoon everyone,

I’m 26 and current defence (non medical role) in WA. I’ve been thinking of studying paramed part time for a while now. I guess what I’m after is, is it worth it? I’ve seen a fair bit of negativity towards the job on this thread which has put me in two minds about it.

Going to uni is going to be a bit of a grind but I’m keen to get after it and put everything I have into it.

Also side note, I have had mh issues and had a course of meds for it, it wasn’t caused from my job or the high stress of it, that actually helped with my head space and made it better, crazy right? Anyway would this history affect future employment with state services etc?

Thank you for any help or feedback it’s greatly appreciated!

Finance assistance

I’m 26 and looking at getting into investing. A lot of the information is pretty overwhelming if I’m going to be honest.

I get paid $3,667.45 a fortnight. I have $411.54 that goes into a car loan, $107.96 that goes into another loan, and $1,000 into savings within roughly 4K in savings at the moment.

I haven’t had a healthy relationship with money so I’m pretty much starting from the start again. I was looking at throwing $200 a month into betashares direct as a set and forget. Is this a good COA? Or is there more I can do with my money? Just want to set my self up for success

Cheers for any information or help.
