Detox/Rehab Facility
My 19 year old son is in need of a stay in a facility. I’m totally lost and alone. Does anyone have any experience of places here in the city or even just outside of the city?

British Expat who now lives in the US had first MV experience this week! I usually spend my summers in the mountains in upstate NY at a close friend’s home but as the house is being renovated this year, I decided to visit some places I wouldn’t usually go so MV was on the list. I stayed in Edgartown - I have to say, it’s really beautiful, the houses, flowers, gardens and everyone was really friendly. However, I’m not 100% sure I would return to this town as I felt a bit out of place as a grungy mountain summer girl who is usually in old t-shirts, denim shorts and crocs. I felt hugely underdressed and ugly all the time. Everyone looked amazing and in expensive gear with expensive cars. It was also crazy busy. Would love some recommendations for perhaps some slightly quieter towns or perhaps I should just be crossing MV off the list haha! I met some lovely locals though so thank you to those folks!
Looking for UWS Pilates classes for beginners - would like to do some 1-1 classes first of all before joining some classes
I’m a British woman who lives in America and watched in a bar in New York today and was the only English supporter. A lot of Americans decided to get behind Norway (they like the rowing and watched lots of TikTok’s about Haaland) and I just want to know I did you all proud by singing Hey Jude on my own at the top of my voice!!
Only moved here a few weeks ago but woke up this morning with terrible dental pain. Any recommendations? Otherwise I’m just going from Google!
I’m so sorry that after what looked like a very long drive (judging by the impressive snack and drink collection on your moving van dashboard), the first thing that welcomed you to NYC was a guy pulling his trousers down and taking a sh*t in the street. I promise this is basically a New York rite of passage so Congratulations, you’ve unlocked the authentic local experience! Welcome to the city!
So this is my first Fourth of July in America! I live mid 90s between West End and Bway. We have a great rooftop overlooking the river - if I go up there just before 10am is that when I can see the planes fly over? Sorry! Trying to find info online!
Forgive my slightly ignorant and probably stupid question, but I’m still new to this city. My dog loves a little bit of a dip & swim in the hot weather and I wondered if there were any places where dogs can go in water in the city. I can’t think of any myself, but just in case there’s some little gem that I’ve never heard about! We used to live in London and there were a few places in the parks, but I can’t think that there are any here!
Hello! I know it’s probably not quite hot enough just yet but are any splash pads open at the moment in either central or riverside? I know wild west playground seems to be.
Diners aside - what are the best restaurants for families?
Planning a day trip from NYC soon. What’s the best short hike or walk for a solo female (easy-medium difficulty and not wanting to go into the deep wilderness alone) and a dog?
