- WaveSpeed: 3.6 USD per video
- ArtCraft: 3.7 USD per video (BytePlus version)
- Luno Studio: 4.1 USD per video
- Runway: 6.7 USD per video
- Topview Ultra: 7.3 USD per video
- Higgsfield: 7.6 USD per video
- Loova: 9.3 USD per video
- InVideo / OpenArt: Could not find option to buy credits directly
Paying for one month (I based prices based on the option that was closest to 50 USD per month):
- ArtCraft: 2.7 USD per video ("Original" version)
- OpenArt: 2.8 USD per video
- InVideo: 2.9 USD per video
- Luno Studio: 4.0 USD per video
- ArtCraft: 4.2 USD per video (BytePlus version)
- Higgsfield: 4.4 USD per video
- Topview Ultra: 5.4 USD per video
- Loova: 6.2 USD per video
- Runway: 8.4 USD per video
- WaveSpeed: Can't buy subscriptions
Notes:
- The prices are based on making one SD2 (not Fast) video at 720p that's 15 seconds in length.
- ArtCraft offers two versions of Seedance 2. As far as I know, the "BytePlus" variant is the same version that almost every other site offers. "Original" is more restrictive when it comes to violent content, but as far as I know it's not different quality-wise.
- Many sites offer more bang for your buck if you go for a higher tier or sign up for an annual sub, but that's a bigger commitment. Some sites even offer some kind of "unlimited" tier, but these are extremely limiting.
- Most sites reset credits after 1-3 months. ArtCraft and WaveSpeed are some of the few sites where credits last forever.
- Some websites run discounts very often, but I decided to base my comparison on non-discounted prices.
Seedance2 is surprisingly good for making character sheets
Here's a comparison of a character sheet made using Seedance2, GPT Image 2, and Nano Banana Pro (I took the best result I got from each. I made 3 images using GPT Image 2, and 8 images using Nano Banana Pro. I took the first result I got from Seedance 2).
Seedance 2 was the more faithful to the outfit design than the other models (both Nana Banano Pro and GPT Image struggled with the suspenders). The downside with Seedance 2 is that that the image quality is lower due being images are screengrabs from a compressed video, but it's probably good enough quality for most purposes.
To make the character sheet, I made a 1080p 5s video where I prompted for images to be displayed in quick succession, as if it's part of a photoshoot. Here's the video and the prompt: https://getartcraft.com/media/m_prfm1gbj8djdt92s7k532ngeabff9b (the prompt could use some refinement, like having the character not look into the camera for the 3/4 and profile views)
