Rhode- worth the hype?

Rhode- worth the hype?

Hey guys,

I’m very new to skincare. Honestly, I never paid much attention to it because I didn’t really have major skin concerns and never made the time for it.

I kept seeing everyone rave about the Rhode Glazing Milk and how it gives such a glowy, glass-skin look, so I bought it. I’ve been using it every morning and evening for the past 3 weeks.

The thing is… I’m honestly not seeing much of a difference. It gives my skin a nice shine for a minute or two after I apply it, but then it fades. I feel like I could get the same effect just by using a moisturiser.

Am I using it incorrectly, or is it just not suited to my skin? Also, does it only work really well when you pair it with the rest of the Rhode products? I’m wondering if that’s how Hailey Bieber gets that signature glow.

For context, I have medium-fair skin and my skin is generally normal to slightly sensitive.

Has anyone else had the same experience, or am I expecting too much from it?

Trisha- Unlucky in Love

Who remembers all the old Tollywood gossip?

There were always whispers that Trisha and Mahesh Babu grew close while doing back-to-back films like Athadu and Sainikudu, but nothing was ever confirmed. Which made mahesh babu wife Namratha very possessive of him even today! She won’t allow a female to hover around him I’m sets( I’ve been there didn’t get a photo because of this and his bodyguards)

Then there was Rana. Unlike the Mahesh rumours, Rana himself later admitted they had dated, saying they were friends for years and “things didn’t work out.”

She also had a broken engagement, and now, years later, she’s still one of South India’s biggest stars but without a settled personal life in the public eye.

Do you think Trisha has just been unlucky in love, or did she simply choose her career and privacy over settling down? Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts (and old gossip 👀).

Chiranjeevi Mindset- Legacy or freedom?

Just saw a post asking why Nagarjuna’s sons never reached the level of Ram Charan.

Here’s my unpopular opinion.

Chiranjeevi didn’t just build a career—he built a dynasty.
He came from a middle-class background, became a superstar, and then married into Allu Ramalingaiah’s family. That wasn’t just a marriage; it also connected him to one of the most influential film families and production houses in Telugu cinema.

Then comes Ram Charan. After Chirutha, I honestly didn’t think he was extraordinary as an actor. Yet he landed Rajamouli for his second film. How many debut heroes get that opportunity? Nepotism opens doors, but this felt like a whole different level of backing.

There were also endless gossip columns and rumours back then—Neha Sharma, Kajal Aggarwal, even stories about changing his horse’s name to Kajal. True? False? Who knows. I’m not saying they happened. They were simply the kind of rumours everyone following Tollywood would have come across.

Then he marries Upasana, the only daughter of the Kamineni family. Again, an incredibly influential and wealthy family.

Sometimes I genuinely wonder why such a powerful business family would choose to marry their only daughter into the film industry despite all the gossip surrounding actors. Maybe they saw something the public doesn’t. Maybe status.

Compare that with Nagarjuna.

His sons have dated who they wanted, married who they wanted, divorced if they wanted, and made the films they wanted. It genuinely feels like he gave them the freedom to live their own lives instead of treating every decision as part of a larger family strategy.

Chiranjeevi, on the other hand, has always struck me as someone who plans ten steps ahead. Rich wife. Rich daughter-in-law. Strong industry alliances. Everything seems carefully built to strengthen the family’s legacy.
I’m not even criticising him. If anything, I think he’s one of the smartest people in the industry.

But sometimes I actually feel sorry for Ram Charan. Everyone praises the legacy he inherited, but I wonder how much freedom he actually had to make his own choices.
Just my opinion. Don’t come at me. 😂

How can anyone like Kriti character in cocktail 2?

Am I the only one not seeing the Ally hype?

People keep comparing Ally to Veronica from Cocktail, but the situations are completely different.

Veronica’s boyfriend fell for someone else. That’s heartbreaking because she genuinely loved him and they were together before Meera even entered their lives.

Here, Diya definitely messed up by sending Ally to test her boyfriend. No excuses for that. But after Ally developed feelings, why didn’t she tell Diya? Instead, she continued being the perfect bridesmaid, planned the bachelorette, wedding events, everything.

The bachelorette scene especially annoyed me. Shahid was calling Diya, while her phone was taken away by ally so Ally ignored it, then Shahid called ally! Ally went to pick him up even after seeing diya is wake-up! If your best friend’s fiancé is calling, why are you creating private moments instead of telling her?

And can we talk about Shahid? The man had zero backbone. Diya asks about marriage and his answer is basically “if you want to.” What do YOU want, sir? Then he jokes in front of everyone that if he cheated she wouldn’t even know. That’s literally where half the insecurity started
.
Also, maybe it’s just me, but trying on the bride’s mangalsutra who is not even bride!

Diya isn’t perfect, but I understood her more than Ally. She wanted reassurance, commitment and honesty. Her method was terrible, but her doubts didn’t come out of nowhere.

For me, Diya made the first mistake, but Ally kept making choices that made the betrayal worse.
Ready for the downvotes. 😭
