Hi there, 23F here, I was hoping to find suggestions of activities that people do in Rabat aside from going to cafes or restaurants, and blowing savings on unreasonably expensive activities.

I’m a 23F and I’ve noticed a pattern that keeps happening. I genuinely enjoy having male friends and often meet new guys with the intention of building a friendship only. However, after a while, many of them end up developing romantic interest and wanting to date.
The problem is that when I clearly and respectfully tell them I’m only interested in friendship, some react negatively, become distant, or seem hurt and frustrated.
I’m always honest about my intentions and never lead anyone on, but it still leaves me wondering: is it unfair to seek friendships with men when this keeps happening? Or is it reasonable to expect that some people simply won’t want a platonic friendship if they’re attracted to you?
