Using a 0% credit card as cheap finance.

I am looking to buy a car.

I could buy it for cash but would rather leave funds invested.

Finance deals are available, but the APRs aren't great.

I don't use credit cards but it appears I can get a credit card with 0% for 15 months, including cash advances.

I am thinking of taking the cash advance and using it as effectively interest free finance. I acknowledge I'll need to make monthly payments and move the balance (or pay it) after 15 months.

Other than the admin burden, is there a downside to using the credit card this way?

Xero for MTD is defeating me.

I'm trying to do a MTD submission. This is some of the most mystifying software I've ever used. It is not intuitive at all.

I've to income streams to report on. A personal income and a Property one.

I've sync'd bank accounts, I've reconcliled everything and I thought I had worked through everything needed. Then I've gone to submit a Q1 update and the two income and expenses reports for the personal and property income parts are completely empty.

I'm fairly certain it's related to the tracking category it has forced me to set up. I have one category with two options A/ My personal and B/ Property. Using those options produces blank reports.

The only way I can get any information to appear in one report is by changing the tracking to unassigned. This just throws all the data into the Property report.

I cannot see how I link bank accounts to those tracking options.

Following all of the tutorials and online guides has got me nowhere on this. I've been going around in circles for an hour.

What am I doing wrong please?

Unwinding a large Shareholding in the most efficient way for CGT, IHT and Future Growth.

I have a pot of shares in a single company accrued from from employment (Now retired). The pot currently stands at around 700k

They are held in a normal account (not an ISA or SIPP). Our home and other assets will account for any IHT allowance we have as a couple. We have two kids, Three grandkids. Kids own their homes, mortgage free.

I acknowledge it's a bit late in the day to be planning and I should have devised a strategy many years ago.

I would like to unwind the share position to a/ Diversify and b/ Drawdown from the pot as required.

Of the 700k, there is a CGT exposure which is something like a 90% gain, so the £3k allowance is a minor consideration.

What is the best way to unwind this position with the minimal tax liability in terms of both CGT and IHT?

For example, very simplistically, I have considered selling enough each year to free up the 40k for both of our ISAs, invest those in ETFs and let those grow with the ability to draw down any cash needed. My other half could then live off the ISA and the remainder of my pension after I die. However, if anything were to happen to her, then that ISA would be exposed to IHT. Also, evern skimming off the 40k's worth, net tax, the pot (based on historic performance) continues to grow and is itself subject to IHT. As long as I am alive and we have my full pension, we do not need the cash that would be flowing into the ISA.

An IFA suggested has pushed VCTs pretty hard, but there seems to be a significant element of risk there that we're not entirely comfortable with and could outweigh tax benefits.

I am also considering SIPP rather than ISA, or a combination of both.

All help and suggestions gratefully received, we are getting a bit bogged down in the mire on this. Yes, it's a nice problem to have.

Pre Cut PPF

Can anyone direct me towards pre-cut PPF kits please? I've just replaced a cracked side section (usual story of someone being clumsy with the jacking pads) and would like to put PPF on that section, like the one I've replaced. Thanks
