It's not uncommon, in more popular descriptions of Berlin nightlife, to find the claim that the city has afterhours clubs where people can go to keep partying on Monday morning, even after the closing of places like Berghain. As far as I know, this is simply not true. But I guess the claim might have some historical basis.
So, historical question: was it really so, in an earlier era of Berlin nightlife, that there were proper afterhours clubs (with dance music) keeping open even through the Monday? Which were these clubs, and when did it change?
