ESP BAS light
Hi, kinda new here, I am the owner of a 1999 C180.
Recently, the ESP BAS light has started coming on after driving for a little bit.
I wanted to ask if this happens to be a common problem and if so, what usually causes it.
Any articles on how the system works and what is and isn't a part of it could be useful as well. (If for nothing else, at least out of pure autistic interest).
If you want clues and think you can help, it usually comes on only after driving for a couple meters (before, it only happened on a long journey). I suspected a bad wheel speed sensor, but that would probably cause the ABS light to be on too, no? Not much I can add, I can still turn the ESP off and the triangle turns on, so the system still seems to work in some capacity.
