Day 12 Return to Ho Chi Minh City sleeper bus
Day 13 Ho Chi Minh City

Spend 5 nights in Rotorua or 4 nights in Rotorua and 1 night in Taupō?

In Rotorua, I want to do
Hobbiton
Redwoods hike/tree walk
Visit 2 geothermal parks or a thermal spa
A Māori cultural experience

Would you recommend staying the extra night in Rotorua or is it worth stopping in Taupō before heading to Wellington? I am worried that Taupō will be boring.
