What HO scale diesel to pull bicentennial cars?

What HO scale diesel to pull bicentennial cars?

I have 13 of the 14 by centennial cars to the collection. All I need is Virginia and I'm just trying to get a good deal on one. They're not expensive but it seems eBay has crazy shipping on some. But at the end I am curious on what locomotive would be the best to pull 14 freight cars. I would love it to be DCC with sound if not have room to put a DCC and sound Dakota in. Please let me know your thoughts

Is it just me on my thought about kato?

I went to my local train store which I didn't know was there and I brought stuff to trade. I traded him a lot of stuff and I know he got a better deal but in the end I didn't have to sell it so I guess it's a win-win for my time safe. I have yet to buy anything kato except for the DCC with sound big boy. Oh and the water tenders. Aside from those no passenger cars or anything else. I picked up these two UP passenger car sets and Amtrak set from the guy on the trade.

I went out and popped them apart to see if there are lights inside the Amtrak where the one UP. I know the other UP set has an optional lighting kit because $23-086-01 I think it is it has the lighting kit and I don't have the dasher one. So I will add the lights it's no big deal. But what is intriguing to me is as flimsy as the bodies are. They look aesthetic but are so flimsy and feel so cheap. I took one passenger car lid off. Then I went to remove the seats and realize how flexible they are and felt so cheap as well. I mean I get it it also saves weight not being thick and hard and all that stuff but at the end of the day kato prices are such a premium that it doesn't feel like a premium product to me.

Is it just me?

Would you do A or B? I am giving B a shot

Finally starting my layout. If I did A, my outer loop would have more room to elevate but B just feels right.

What says you?

Got to integrate the non color yard into my current thoughts

That one item cant pass up....

We all have that one thing, minimal thing, that we collect too many of. For me it is the Bachmann Pennsylvania 65 ft passenger cars. I just bought another 12 and I overpaid for them and when they just came in now I just realized that two of them are a plus edition. They have a gray bottom opposed to the black bottom I'm used to. I can't find any information on them and I'm trying to find them on trovestar or anywhere else to get an idea of what other model numbers there are. I feel like I need them all lol.

By the way I'm up to about 35 of these passenger cars. And they're all lighted
