Offering: English | Seeking: Mandarin Chinese

你好!我想找一个互助学习伙伴。
I am 16M living in the GMT+6 timezone. I need to learn Mandarin (I am a beginner) and I require a partner to make sure I don't develop bad tone/pronunciation habits. I speak fluent English as it is my first language alongside my native tongue.

What I am Looking For:
I am not looking for a casual internet friend to vent to. I am looking for a language study partner to level up together. Ideally, you are a student or someone my age (or close to it) who has a strong work ethic and wants to improve their English.

The System:
To make sure nobody's time is wasted, we will use a strict system:

  • The Routine: We will check in via text daily or do a structured call.
  • The Split: Exactly 50% of our communication will be in Mandarin (for me to practice) and 50% will be in English (for you to practice).
  • No Time Wasting: We focus strictly on correction, vocabulary drills, and practicing pronunciation.

The Ghost Policy:
I am serious about this. If you lose motivation, stop showing up, or ghost for 3 days straight without a valid heads-up, I will find a new partner.

How to Reply:
If you want to grind together and actually get fluent, send me a DM. You must include:

  1. Your age and gender
  2. Your timezone
  3. Your current English level and your learning goals
  4. Your current Mandarin level

I got tired of bloated apps just to write down quick thoughts, so I built a 1-click note-taker.

Like a lot of people here, I tried using all sorts of tools for quick daily notes, but I kept bumping into the same messy menus and paywalls.

That's why I built Fluore as a solo developer.

What makes it different:

  • Simple UX with zero loading screen delay.
  • 100% local-first notes as your data stays in your hands.

I attached a short 16-second video below showing the main workflow in action.

Since this is the very first version, I’m actively squashing bugs and adding features (like a richer text system and higher storage capacity).

I’d love your brutally honest feedback: What features are missing, and what feels clunky?

Thanks for taking a look!
