Hello! I landed my first school counseling job. I will be the 9th grade school counselor (our high school is 9-12). The role combines school adjustment/social work counseling and school counseling (they are separate licenses in Massachusetts). Please give me all of your tips, tricks, and suggestions for my first year! If you've got any specific to 9th graders/newbies to high school that would be amazing! Any lists, forms, or organization for note-taking that has been helpful? I'm having a hard time visualizing what my first day(s) should look like and what to do in advance. My grad program was great, but I'd love to hear from others with actual field experience. I truly appreciate any advice received! TIA!

Does anyone go to the same cruise destination every year? And love it? I am terrified to fly and the only ports within a manageable driving distance are Boston, NY, or Philadelphia. I have NCL credit card points to use, but am feeling guilty we can "only" go to Bermuda with them. Just looking for some comradery and to know I'm not the only one.

I’ve been on 200 mg for roughly 2 years. It has helped immensely - it evened me out and made me feel like I could function again in one of the roughest/lowest places I have ever been in my life. Now, I’ve noticed I feel emotionally blunted. Not as excited as I should be for and on vacations or just in general, etc. Is this typical for this dose at this length? I’m so afraid to stop it and not be able to handle life or be a functional adult again. What has been your dosage story?

Good Morning! I’m curious how other schools in Massachusetts are actually using MyCAP and/or MEFA Pathway in practice. We’ve started doing more with it at the high school level and I feel like there are a lot of different ways schools approach implementation.

For those of you using it regularly, what has worked well? Anything that ended up being more difficult or less useful than expected? What strategies are you using to actually get students to engage/buy-in? How are you using MEFA Pathway for Work-Based Learning?
