Torpedos / Guided Missiles question

So i wanted to test different types of rockets to see how effective they are and hit a brick wall

When my S ships have rockets/torpedos installed they tend to stay at very long ranges untill they run out of ammunition, what am i doing wrong here?

I want them to still use other installed weapons, close the distance with targets e.t.c

Discount/Comission offsets

Can someone explain to me how discounts even work?

Buying

Selling

First picture is me trying to buy a ware from the station, second one is me selling the same ware to the station

Partnership discount is from having 30 rep with the faction, VIP is from hacking the station, those i understand

Where did Commission Offset came from?

I think i get why Discount Offset is in there - so player can't buy from a station and sell to it the same ware for profit.

BUT it's still there even if i produce those wares myself so...doesn't that mean that discounts just reduce my profits for no reason? I'm so confused rn

edit
I guess the last part is only true for trading stations that buy AND sell the same wares, so it's not that big of a deal, still you will sell your own wares to them for less money if you have any discounts if i understand correctly

Logistics question

The factory grows and so I started thinking about logistics more, how to do stuff "cleaner" e.t.c

Is there a way to configure station so it keeps let's say 10 k of any given ware for trading inside my faction and sells any access? If I'm not blind, then it's a "no".

But then how can I stockpile some amount of wares I produce for myself? It's obviously easy to do with one big mega factory, but I can't wrap my head around how to do it with many smaller specialized ones. Repeat order trades sounds like insane thing to balance right.

I can just produce more then npc factions buy form me, but that will lead to factories freezing because of full storage.

I know it's not really...a big deal in grand scheme of things and x4 is not automation game, just curious how experienced people with same flavour of autism as me do this. Searched YouTube but got mostly basic tutorials on how to build a station or transfer wares between them.

Allied faction orders

Is there a way to hide ship orders from factions with 27+ reputation from the map? I don't think it's very useful information for me, and it clutters my map :(

The only way I found is to hide all orders, including mine, and I would like to keep those

Is this a bug or intended mechanic?

Never played before 9.0, love the game but for some time noticed that NPC economy works in mysterious ways.

In this example - two factories less than 150km from eachother, owned by the same faction refuse to trade with each other, both supply and demand is very high and player can just repeat order trade for more than x2 profit, how come this is possible?

I saw simillar situations in other places before, but never in the same sector, is this intended so that player can make good money with trade without owning stations or just a bug?

On that note, i have energy cells station, in the same sector Boron has it too, it's storage is full, mine isn't, so buying energy cells from me is more expensive and yet they do, why? I kinda get that they have infinite money and don't preoritize buying from stations they own, because, while that makes sense to do, it would make earning money for the player without sabotaging npc productions pretty tough, but still, aren't they suppose to look for the lowest price?
