Really wanted to like the JDD, love me a big dial and figured it would be the best choice for my 7.6" wrist. But no matter how much I love a big dial, it was just brutal to wear with how thick and top heavy it is.

When I got the GSAR I initially thought the dial was too small, but after just a few hours on the wrist, im already used to it.

Couldn't be happier with the decision on the GSAR. I already forget im even wearing a watch. The JDD made sure to never let me forget i was wearing it.

Wasn't sure how id feel about the straight end links, but im kind of digging it! Picked up the hexad too but the links taper in width toward the clasp, didn't fit the tool watch aesthetic as nicely.

Have been drooling over the Marathons for years and finally pulled the trigger on the BIG BOY JDD. Really loving it!

May be getting the stainless bracelet at some point. If Island Watch would make one like they do for the GSAR that would be incredible. Have a couple bracelets on the way from strapcode otw but they are straight end links so ill see how I like that.

The tritium illumination is phenomenal. Its certainly a tall watch, but i love tool watches.

Next watch im eyeing is a ball enginner 2 diver world time.
